This single family house was designed for a young couple with kids, for whom sustainability, innovation and simple design are held in high regard.
Due to a very narrow plot and the law regulations, the building is entirely closed on it’s east and west sides
and wide open to the north and to the south. It’s north facade faces an outstanding view of a valley and is accessible from the street. The south facade is open to the garden.
One of the core ideas behind this project was to insert the building into an existing slope in such way, that the main functions were located on a +1 level, where the garden on the southern side is accessible from. The entrance and garage area on a street level are separated optically from the living room by a concrete canopy, covered with greenery, providing privacy to the residents.
